KIWI MARGARITA

My husband and I are extremely fond of mocktails and we make sure to try new ones when we have a chance and then I come home and try to ape them ;). We lived in Sydney for a while and there are favorite place for any celebration was Zaffran on Darling Harbor. The food there isn't anything to rave about, personally but the view is breath taking and if you've chosen the time right you could watch fire works too.

So they have this wonderful mocktail called 'Randy Kiwi' that was our typical order. Its refreshing and yummy. Alot of sugar goes in but then its OK to cheat once in a while, isn't it ;).

Try this wonderful recipe and I promise you your friends and family will be talking about it for a long time. I made it on New Year's Eve and our friends still rave about it :)

Ingredients:

Kiwi 4, peeled and roughly chopped
Sugar Syrup, 1/2 cup
Lemon 2
Powdered Sugar, 3 tablespoons
Lots of ice cubes

Procedure:

1. Take the margarita glass and rub a slice of lemon along its rim
2. Place the powdered sugar on a dish and now dip the glass's rim into this sugar dish to coat the rim       with powdered sugar
3. Blend together kiwis, sugar syrup, lemon juice and lots of ice in a blender jar
4. Serve into the prepared glasses immediately.
