TOMATO CORN BHARTA



Tomato Corn Bharta.. A delectable dish with the most basic ingredients available in every household. The combination of coarsely crushed corn when blended together with tangy tomatoes gives this dish a marvelous elevation. All you need is rotis, parathas or rice to serve it with and your dinner or lunch is ready in a jiffy. 

Ingredients:


Sweet corn kernels, 1.5 cup boiled and roughly crushed
Spring onions, 1 bunch, finely chopped
Tomato Sauce, 1 cup 
Ginger paste, 1 tsp
Garlic paste, 1 tbsp
Chili paste, 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder, 1 tsp
Red Chili powder, 1 tbsp
Coriander cumin powder, 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Garam Masala powder, 1 tsp
Oil, 1 tbsp
Fresh Coriander leaves, 1 tbsp

Procedure:


1. Heat a wok and once its warm add the oil and let the oil heat



2. Add the ginger, garlic and green chilies and cook till the garlic turns brown


3. Add in the spring onions and cook on medium heat till they turn brown



4. Once they brown, add in the tomato sauce and mix and cook until the oil starts to separate


5. Now add in the dry masalas, turmeric, red chili, coriander cumin powder and salt. Mix well.



6. Now add in the crushed sweet corn and mix well.



7. Add in the garam masala powder and simmer for 5 minutes.


8. Tomato Corn Bharta is now ready. 



9. Dress it up with some fresh coriander and serve with hot chapatis!
