ALU PYAZ KA CHEELA/ POTATO ONION PANCAKE





This is the ideal breakfast for a lazy weekend morning. Doesn't need to be planned ahead and is ready in no time. Made with simple ingredients available in every home. With no compromise on taste. They are crispy and appetizing. Try it to believe it!

Ingredients:


Potatoes, 2 peeled (Potatoes are raw, not boiled)
Onions, 1 finely chopped
Green Chilies, 2 finely chopped
Coriander Leaves, 2 tbsp finely chopped
Ginger, 1/2 tsp grated
Rice Flour, 2 tbsp
Turmeric Powder, 1 tsp
Coriander Cumin Powder, 1 tbsp
Red Chili Powder, 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Oil, 3 tbsp

Procedure:


1. Grate the potatoes 


2. Pat the dry to get rid of the excess moisture from the potatoes using a kitchen towel 



3. Add in the green chilies, ginger, onions and coriander leaves

 

4. Add in the dry masalas, turmeric, coriander cumin and red chili powder and salt and mix well. 


5. Heat a non stick pan on medium heat.


6. Add in the rice flour and mix well.



7. Grease the pan with a little oil and spread the potato onion mixture in the shape of a thin small disc



8. Cook until brown and crisp on both sides 




9. Serve hot with chutney or cold yogurt!
