ABOUT ME:

I have been cooking since I was about 4 years old.. Learning from my mother, grandmothers, aunts and friends. I am very keen on learning new recipes and techniques, wherever I can. The very first thing that I ever prepared was tea for my father. Climbing on a stool, sitting on my mothers kitchen counter top inhaling the aroma of fresh Wagh Bakri tea leaves steeped with ginger and cardamom guided by our domestic help.

This blog is a record of recipes I've learnt and my memories associated with them. I share with you the tips and techniques that have helped me when I was learning to cook these dishes and sometimes pointing out the steps where I tripped to ensure you sail smoothly while making these delicacies in your kitchen.

I cover a range of modern and traditional dishes and am especially partial to appetizers. I love trying new appetizers and imitating them in my kitchen. I enjoy eating, feeding people and hosting parties.

My mother, grand mother (Nani) and my grandmother-in-law have been inspirational in a lot of my learning. And also, Ganwani aunty, my dearest friend Sonia's mother. I used to visit her home quite regularly and would watch her work in the kitchen cooking up wonderful Sindhi dishes. She really enjoys cooking and is a wonderful homemaker.
